Place-based social planning

Stations

A saved place is more useful when it carries a reason to go there. Stations connects places with the context, people, and plans that make them worth sharing.

The work
Place-based social planning

The problem

A map pin captures a location. A list captures a collection. A calendar captures a time. Planning something with friends often requires moving between all three while the reason for the outing gets lost.

What I built

I organized Stations around three objects. Stations describe meaningful places; playlists collect them into guides and routines; journeys connect places with time-based plans. Cards and maps provide complementary ways to explore the same material. The public hiking example shows how the model can support a trail day, a local routine, or a sequence of stops worth recommending.

The result

The result is a web app for place-based social planning, with a public introduction and a dedicated hiking use case. The design makes place, collection, and occasion distinct while allowing them to work together. It reflects my interest in tools that help people turn an intention into an experience they can actually organize and share.
